Be it BMW, Mercedes or Porsche, the fact cannot be denied that these are producing some of the finest cars in the world. Currently, five German companies and seven marques dominate the automotive industry in the country: Volkswagen AG (and subsidiaries Audi and Porsche), BMW AG, Daimler AG, Adam Opel AG and Ford-Werke GmbH.

After working at other companies, Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz, who never met personally, simultaneously developed the world's first automobiles in Mannheim (Benz) and Stuttgart (Daimler) in the year 1886.

In short, German cars are reliable as long as you maintain them properly. Have a proper maintenance schedule, and they should last longer without any issues. Brands like Audi have good depreciation values, but contrarily, Mercedes Benz decreases in value.
